Cad - Cam Restorations

Also known as computer-aided design and computer-aided manufacturing in dentistry, CAD/CAM dentistry uses computer technology to fabricate restorations such as crowns, inlays, onlays, veneers, fixed bridges, dental implant restorations, and orthodontic appliances.

Dr. Dargham utilizes digital impression ( ITERO ) technology to scan an image of the prepared tooth once it has been corrected and is free of decay or broken areas. This digital impression transfers this data into a computer. A virtual restoration is then created using proprietary software, which then sends the virtual replacement to a milling machine. Here, the final restoration is carved out of a solid block of resin or ceramic.

Once our highly skilled laboratory ceramist completes the restoration to a final glaze and natural form, it is then placed in the patient’s mouth , adjusted, and bonded in place. The highest detail and accuracy, using CAD CAM innovation, is apparent in the perfectly natural fit and look of the final restoration. Once again, the patient may smile with confidence!
